State Member for Forest Hill, Neil Angus MP today welcomed the commencement of operations at the new 24-hour Forest Hill Police Station at 469 Springvale Road, Forest Hill, following a Victoria Police announcement earlier this week.
“I am delighted that the $12 million Forest Hill Police Station, fully funded by the previous Victorian Government, will open for business today,” Neil Angus said.
“I am also very proud to say the former Government listened to the local community and delivered on its commitment to build a police station in Forest Hill, as part of its community safety agenda.
“Over the last four years, local residents have reiterated to me their concerns over community safety and I know the new station will be well received in the local area.
“By providing a 24-hour presence in Forest Hill, Victoria Police will be better placed to reduce crime locally and emergency response times to incidents will improve, given the close proximity of the station.
“I look forward to the new station servicing the law and order needs of the Forest Hill community and beyond, including the wider Whitehorse municipality.
