Due to the State Labor Government postponing the handing down of the Victorian State Budget from the originally scheduled date of Tuesday April 30 until after the federal election, the entire Victorian Parliament sitting calendar for May has had to be shuffled around.
The obvious question is; why has the Victorian Labor Government done this? What are they trying to hide?
Is it because the State Labor Government is introducing more new or increased taxes for Victorians – on top of the 12 new and increased taxes since they were elected in 2014? Or, is it because, despite there being record levels of taxes and charges on all Victorians, the state is now running at a deficit?
We will have to wait until Monday May 27 when the Victorian State Budget is handed down to find out.
