The Labor Government has been exposed as misleading Forest Hill residents following the revelation that parts of the Healesville Freeway Reserve (HFR) will be sold off.
Daniel Andrews attended the HFR on 25 February 2014, together with the then Labor candidate, and promised to keep the entire HFR as public open space. With the Government now announcing that various parcels of the HFR will be sold off, the Premier’s promise has been shown to be nothing more than a lie and a fraud on residents in the Forest Hill electorate.
This deception shows that the Premier and Labor cannot be trusted to keep their promises, no matter how publicly they are made.
Member for Forest Hill Neil Angus MP said, “We can now see Labor’s true intention. Despite the promise they made to local residents to retain all of the HFR as public open space, it is now proven to be yet another lie.”
The Andrews Labor Government also stated they would invest in a bike and pedestrian path on the HFR, but more than three years later, this has not been done.
“It is about time the Government got on with the project it promised local residents”, Mr Angus said.
“Labor’s deception and inaction clearly show they cannot be trusted to do what they say”, said Mr Angus.
