Electorate Description

Forest Hill District is an outer metropolitan electorate approximately 15 kilometres east of Melbourne.

Area: 25 square kilometres.

Suburbs: Blackburn South, Burwood East, VermontĀ and Vermont South. Parts of the suburbs of ForestĀ Hill and Glen Waverley.

Features: The District includes residential areas, a large number of recreation areas and a major shopping centre.

Boundary changes: The 2012-2013 redivision of State electoral boundaries made the following changes to the boundaries of Forest Hill District.

Forest Hill gained:

  • 294 electors from Bayswater District (Part of Vermont)
  • 4,968 electors from Mitcham District (Parts of Forest Hill and Vermont).
